As part of the News Graphic Design class collaboration with a reporting project I’ve been part of, I was part of a small team of students to put this epub together.
The team came together to create this epub are mostly journalism grad students at Medill. The cover page features another photo of mine.
This epub is created using indesign and its basic epub functions. More advanced interactive elements were added using html.
Featuring a photograph of mine, this is a story about disappearing clients in the public mental health care system after the close down of clinics.
I created this cartodb + javascript map for the story and the epub.
This is a documentary I created for the reporting project. When designing for the epub, I cut the 12-minute video into three parts and wrote brief introductory text to go with the story. I also added a gallery to offer a variety of visual elements to this special section on mental health in jail.
